• LANGHAM COURT THEATRE LOCATION
Langham Court Theatre is tucked away in the residential Rockland neighbourhood near the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria on Moss Street. We are located off Rockland Avenue between Linden Avenue and Moss Street, in the Fort Street and Cook Street area of Greater Victoria. Click here for a map.
• PARKING
During show runs – parking is limited to side streets in the surrounding area: Pentrelew Place (across Rockland Avenue from the entrance to Langham Court), Moss Street, Linden Avenue and Fort Street. Please DO NOT park where signs reading ‘Resident’s Only’ are posted. You may be at the risk of receiving a parking ticket. There is a pick-up and drop-off area at the theatre’s entrance. There are limited parking spaces at front of the theatre for disabled persons only. The parking lot at the theatre is reserved for cast and crew during show runs.
During hours of operation for the box office and costume loft – parking is available in the parking lot at the theatre during business hours only.
• ARRIVAL TIME
Doors to the theatre auditorium open 30 minutes before show time, and the lounge opens one hour before show time. If you have ordered your tickets by phone or online and you have not picked them up in advance, you will pick them up at the box office before you enter.
• REFRESHMENTS & ART SHOW
Doors to the theatre lounge will be open for evening shows at 7:00pm or for matinees at 1:00pm where you may enjoy the art show and to purchase a beverage or snack. NEW – Visa, MasterCard and Debit available at the bar and of course good ol’ cash.
• FOOD & DRINK
Only bottled water is permitted inside the theatre auditorium.
• LATECOMERS AND RE-ADMISSION
Latecomers can not be seated until intermission. Should you need to leave the theatre, our House Manager will attempt to reseat you at a moment that will be the least distracting for actors and audience members.
• AUDIENCE ADVISORIES / SHOW RUNNING TIMES
The box office will have audience advisory notice about any technical effects (strobe lights, fog) in the show. Please look for signs at the entrances to the theatre. Advisories and show running times are available at the box office as of preview night. Each show page on this website and in the season brochure will have language and age suitability warnings. • NON-WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
Langham Court Theatre is not wheelchair accessible inside the auditorium. Please call management at 250-384-2142 if you require assistance.
• SPECIAL NEEDS
Langham Court Theatre is equipped with the Sennheiser Infrared Transmission System for the hearing impaired. Receivers are available free of charge at the Box Office: first come, first served.
• LOST AND FOUND
Please contact the box office at 250-384-2142 regarding lost and found items.
• PERFUME AND COLOGNE
Please refrain from wearing perfume and/or cologne when you come to the theatre. Some of our patrons are highly allergic to scents.
• RECORDING DEVICES
No cameras or recording devices are permitted in the theatre.
• PAGERS & CELLULAR PHONES
Cell phones, beepers and watch alarms must be turned off during the performance. Please do not simply put a cell phone on silent as it still can disturb the audience.
• ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES
Please refrain from using electronic cigarettes in the theatre, to avoid distraction for other patrons and the artists on stage
• THEATRE ETIQUETTE
Live theatre is a shared experience between the actors and the audience. Talking during a show, rustling papers or candy wrappers all disturb the actors’ concentration and disrupt the performance for others. Please be courteous.
