The year is 1918 and the Great War is finally over, but a mysterious and deadly plague – the “Spanish Flu” – has arrived in Canada and the citizens of Unity, Saskatchewan are fighting for their lives. This Governor General’s Award-winning play tells the story of a small farming community quarantined in an attempt to keep the illness out. The play tells of compassion, adaptation, and hope. The human spirit endures, coping with personal tragedy.
